How does one run an Apocalypse Test?    One simply imagines that tomorrow the apocalypse begins - this is an event of catastrophic destruction which interrupts most or all social systems.    We run the hypothetical Apocalypse Test to ask ourselves what still matters when everything we’ve taken for granted is threatened and interrupted.    Things that do not pass the Apocalypse Test.    Social media followers no longer matter, because our digital systems have fallen.    The stock market no longer exists. Your ownership of your assets is now contestable - you will struggle to defend your claim to a single deed of land, as the deeds you signed

Imagine your life one year from now.   You cannot be certain that you’ll have more money than you do now. Incomes rise and fall, markets change overnight, and you never know what is lurking around the corner. Your job can go, the banking system can collapse, and everything you’ve saved and worked hard for can be wiped away in an instant. And you may be sufficiently diversified. You may listen to Ray Dalio, you may have a few piles of gold, and your fat-bellied, horn-rimmed glasses-wearing financial advisor might tell you at your appointments that everything is in order. But even

Turn the clock back a few centuries and it was normal to believe the world was flat. It was also normal for the majority of your children not to live past the age of five. Normal is not necessarily good, and certainly doesn’t always equate to good enough.   Tell Me Why I Don’t Like Mondays Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats made the famous song, Tell Me Why I Don’t Like Mondays in 1979, about the Cleveland Elementary School Shooting in San Diego by Brenda Spencer. When asked why she carried out the shooting, Spencer is reported to have answered

Our early ancestors were hunter-gatherers who lived nomadically off the land. They would go from place-to-place according to the seasons and availability of shelter and resources. For most creatures in nature, home is a very fluid concept. They also take only what they need from the land - no more and no less. They migrated around the ecosystem, from place to place so as not to excessively wear out any individual part, or become overly reliant on any one place. The hunter-gatherer worked somewhere between three to four hours a day- hunting and gathering. They were tied to very little at all.

If you just joined us, you may not be familiar that we are all born in the passenger seat of life, and that it is a deliberate choice to become the driver - to choose our own direction, rather than following the path others give us as default. You might not be aware of your Audience-of-None - of what you’d do, be it a job, hobby, or interest, if no one ever saw it. I have a few, my favorite of which is writing - if no one ever read a word I wrote, I’d still write till my dying day. You

Imagine you are part of the ocean. You are part of one gigantic force - but you cannot see the extent of yourself, how far or wide you stretch. You can only see your section of the ocean, and so in your eyes, that is all that exists, and it is also all of you.   But as you move you begin to head towards land   And as you see yourself change position in relation to the land, you begin to notice that you are not everything you see. You suspect that you are the ocean, and that everything else is

We live, each of us, in two worlds. One is visible, the other is invisible. One is determined only by others, the other is determined only by us. One is the focus of the West, the other is the focus of the East. Both are important. Both are different. And they are completely unrelated from one another. Success in one rarely relates to success in the other. Some people thrive in one but struggle in the other. Heath Ledger. Robin Williams. Michael Jackson. Amy Winehouse. The list of celebrities who were known to be troubled or took their own lives is countless. “But they had it all”

Define: Conversation Sex The experience of deeply rewarding and pleasurable conversation, consisting of selfless penetration and climax. The Importance Of Conversation Sex One thing that has become clear to me is our need for Conversation Sex in society.
